Women are the chosel vessel

Christ Church International Growing in Grace Ministry (CCIGIGM) held their annual women’s conference at Victory Christian Outreach Church. “Chosen Vessel, Chosen to Serve” is the message Apostle Valerie Isiah wanted to convey the message that women are important in the body of Christ and their service is valuable.  The conference speakers reflected issues that affect women such as abuse, marriage, parenthood. The event started with prayer and  co-pastor CCIGIM Latoya Mason did the praise and worship.

Author Karen D. Spencer shared her testimony about how she was healed after twenty years of sickness and seven incurable diseases. She said, “I am 100% pain free and medication free today.” Spencer stated that in addition to the seven diseases she also suffered from multiple sclerosis. She explained how God revealed to her, that He would heal her ten years before it happen. Spencer wrote  And God Said Just walk to encourage and inspire people to develop a relationship with God.

Inspirational recording artist Chi’ Mathias performed an original song and several congregational songs. Daphne Rice Bruce also sang a selection. Prophetess Veronica Henry  from Mary Madelege M. B. Church in Illinois shared her personal experience dealing with domestic violence. Henry stated, “ Abuse takes you somewhere, where you need God’s advice to escape.”She explained spiritual work out plan to provide economic stimulus.

Pastor Torre Murphy shared excerpts from her “Women Called” seminar.  Murphy told how she worked through her hurt from past relationships by staying busy serving the Lord until her Boaz (husband) arrived. Murphy explained that God has chosen women to carry his message through their roles as wives and mothers.

The final speaker was Apostle Valerie. She shared about how she was sexually abused as child and how despite her situation she pursed her education. Only to then marry abusive men until she gave her life to Christ.

Isaiah provided biblical inspired advice for marriage and family. She explained that a Christian woman should keep her self looking good for her husband.  Isaiah explained appearance is also important because young Isaiah explained the different between being with your kids to being there for them.  She used the example of fixing sandwiches for dinner everyday instead of preparing a meal.
